Mycellium Lab / Independent research
bynegotiatingwithreality.Every intelligence begins by negotiating with reality.
Independent laboratory for scientific research, applied engineering, and real products.

No system is handed
a finished world.
An intelligence does not receive reality already sorted into objects, causes, and consequences. It has to work out which distinctions hold, which ones fail, and what it costs to be wrong. That negotiation is the subject of this laboratory.
Most artificial systems skip it. They inherit categories, goals, and rewards decided in advance by people, and become very capable inside boundaries they never had to discover. We are interested in what is left out of that arrangement.
So we build systems that meet the world under real consequences, and we hold what they teach us to evidence rather than to ambition.
Not stored experience, but the process by which experience changes the system that remembers.
Knowing when to act, and when acting is the wrong move. Restraint is part of the measure.
Whether a system can construct a working account of reality it was not given in advance.
Seven systems.
One shared core.
Each one is a working product and a point of contact with reality. They fund the research, and they are where its claims get tested.

Genesis is a question,
not a capability.
Whether an artificial system can construct an operational understanding of reality without a complete, predefined human ontology. The question is being converted into testable hypotheses, not claimed as a breakthrough.
